About me

This blog is about my journey into spirituality and metaphysics. I hope that by sharing my experiences, others who are also experiencing things will know that they are not alone and that there are others out there on that same journey.  There is so much more to life than what we just see in this reality and I’ve been lucky enough to get glimpses that reveal just how amazingly beautiful and precious all things on earth are. In sharing my experiences I hope you’ll share yours too and together we can start to open our eyes to what’s really in front of us. And maybe we can learn from each other. I’ve no idea where it’ll end up but I hope it helps someone out there.

So who am I?

For the last decade I’ve had a nice sensible job in multimedia working in both the private and public sectors.  Although I’m not religious in any way, for almost the last 20 years (since I was about 17 ) I’ve experienced some wonderful metaphysical and spiritual things. For most of that time I’ve never really thought too much about it.  It was just something that would happen to me from time to time or as with many teens you play around with things.

But this all changed after I visited an intuitive – Julie Lewin (www.julielewin.com). What was meant to be a 1 hour reading ended up going for 2 hours as she took the time out of her own life to show me some exercises and recommend a list of books to read – which I’ve listed in the ‘Books worth reading’ section. That was in 2008 and since then my life has slowly but surely changed for the better as I embrace this new part of life.  Thank you Julie!

I’ve always believed that religion and spirituality are two different things.  You can have one without the other and you don’t need one to be the other. I personally don’t feel comfortable using the term ‘God’….to me it still represents an old man in a beard sitting in a chair which I find incredibly hard to accept after experiencing some of the things I’ll write about in this blog.  If anything ‘God’ refers to a lower entity because the ultimate source of all is SOOOOO much more than that….or at least that’s how I see it.   So you’ll find me using words like ‘source’ or ‘the powers that be’ more so.

But I understand that many people are comfortable with the term ‘God’ and that’s cool….afterall we all have our own paths and journeys to take to get back home.

I’ve got a few experiences to share with you from the last 20 odd years so my first few posts will be covering the past as you’ll see…
